James Hobson
James has been working in the refrigeration and air conditioning industry since 2000, and has been delivering trusted heating and cooling solutions across New Plymouth and the wider Taranaki region since 2014. His extensive experience ensures every customer receives reliable advice, quality workmanship, and solutions tailored to their specific needs.
As the founder of Action Engineering Services, James takes pride in offering a personal, hands-on approach—working closely with clients to design and deliver systems that are efficient, practical, and built to last.
Outside of work, James is a dedicated family man with a strong passion for the outdoors. He makes the most of everything Taranaki has to offer, spending his free time surfing, fishing, cycling, and enjoying the region’s marine environment with his wife and two children.
Brett Hobson
Brett has worked in the refrigeration industry since 2002 and joined Action Engineering Services in 2018. He provides high-quality service across New Plymouth and the wider Taranaki region, with a strong focus on reliability and customer satisfaction.
He plays an integral role in the day-to-day operations of the business and is a specialist in commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems, bringing extensive hands-on experience to every project.
Outside of work, Brett is a busy family man who enjoys the outdoors. He spends his free time hunting, fishing, and exploring Taranaki’s coastline and marine environment with his wife and sons.
